The Data Integration Specialist position will work across the organization, most notably with PAEA’s Research & Data, Assessment, and Digital Operations teams, to design, develop, and maintain data infrastructure and pipelines. The ideal candidate must have the capabilities to develop a deep understanding of the PAEA’s Salesforce instance and broader data ecosystem and architecture. This role will heavily emphasize quality assurance and data integrity, facilitating proactive testing, error identification, and remediation of dataflows. In addition to active and proactive interaction across teams at PAEA, the Data Integration Specialist will regularly interface with PAEA’s vendors and partners.

Specific Responsibilities: 

  1. Design and implement data integration processes across systems, both internal and external to PAEA.
  2. Build and maintain extract, transfer, and load (ETL) processes and robust data pipelines.
  3. Develop strategies to maintain data integrity across distributed systems.
  4. Monitor data workflows and troubleshoot as required.
  5. Conduct ongoing quality control, particularly for PAEA assessment data, working with psychometricians and members of the Research & Data and Digital Operations teams to create robust quality control procedures and processes for monitoring the status/health of the assessment systems.
  6. Develop technical training materials and educate end-users on data sources, transfers, and data meaning-making.
  7. Contribute to data governance and integrity by maintaining data structures at scale.
  8. Design and implement scalable solutions that support high growth while preserving system reliability.

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 

Required  

  1. Bachelor’s degree and five years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  2. Salesforce Administrator, Architect, or Developer certification.
  3. Strong command of SQL/SOQL.
  4. Proven experience in scaling large systems while maintaining performance, data accuracy, and user experience.
  5. Expertise across the phases of program/software development lifecycle.
  6. Expertise in API calls and data queries, including software proficiency to perform calls and manage data lakes/warehouses appropriately.
  7. Strong problem-solving ability in acute settings and deriving long-term solutions.
  8. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively to audiences of varying technical expertise.

Preferred:  

  1. Experience working with exam delivery software/architecture. 
  2. Experience/Expertise in network/connectivity metadata and problem identification/diagnosis.

Work Environment & Benefits 

This position is remote, with no in-office presence required. 

The individual in this position must be authorized to work in the United States. 

PAEA offers a competitive salary and benefits that considers external market compensation and maintains internal equity. The salary range for this position is $95,000- $105,000 annually. The benefits package includes health, life, and disability insurances; paid time off and holidays; a 403(b) retirement plan with an 8% employer contribution; monthly wellness stipend, professional development funding, tuition assistance, and other benefits.
