Salesforce Developer - Remote US

The Salesforce Developer designs, builds, and maintains custom applications and integrations on the Salesforce Sales Cloud and Service Cloud platforms. This role collaborates with cross-functional teams, including business systems analysts, administrators, and IT partners, to deliver scalable, maintainable, and high-performing solutions that support business objectives. The developer contributes to technical design discussions, maintains clear documentation, and stays current with Salesforce releases and emerging technologies. 

 Essential Functions

  1. Own technical solutions from design to deployment, including estimation and planning 

  2. Maintain and enhance Apex code, Lightning Components, Flows, and other customizations 

  3. Ensure code quality, scalability, and compliance with Salesforce governor limits 

  4. Participate in solution architecture and design discussions 

  5. Collaborate with administrators to determine declarative vs. programmatic approaches 

  6. Provide constructive feedback during code reviews 

  7. Participate in Agile ceremonies, including backlog grooming, sprint planning, and daily standups 

  8. Meet with stakeholders to gather and clarify requirements 

  9. Raise and resolve development blockers in a timely manner 

  10. Monitor system performance and logs to troubleshoot and optimize as needed 

  11. Other duties as assigned 

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experience 

  2. 5+ years of hands-on Salesforce development experience in a mid-to-large-scale enterprise environment (200+ users), including declarative and programmatic solutions

  3. Experience working in HIPAA-compliant environments 

  4. Salesforce Platform Developer I (required) 

  5. Salesforce Certified JavaScript Developer (required) 

  6. In-depth knowledge of coding in Apex programming language. Experience in Golang is a plus 

  7. Proficient in Apex programming with a deep understanding of Salesforce development best practices and governor limits 

  8. Experience developing custom solutions with Lightning Web Components, Flows, and Visualforce 

  9. Monitoring system performance and making necessary adjustments 

  10. Ensuring data synchronization between Salesforce and other platforms 

  11. Identifying and fixing bugs in Apex code 

  12. Strong understanding of Salesforce configuration: custom objects, reports, workflows, assignment rules 

  13. Experience with application packaging and deployment within Salesforce 

  14. Skilled in integrating external systems using REST and SOAP APIs (JSON/XML) 

  15. Proficient in relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MSSQL) with the ability to write and optimize complex queries 

  16. Familiarity with non-relational databases (e.g., MongoDB) and messaging tools (e.g., SQS, RabbitMQ) 

  17. Skilled in Git version control, including branching and merging 

  18. Able to work with various data formats (e.g., JSON, CSV, XML) 

  19. Solid foundation in web technologies (e.g., HTTP, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, AJAX) 

  20. Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills 

  21. Ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions 

  22. Availability to occasionally work across global time zones 

Preferred

  1. Experience with Service Cloud Voice, Einstein AI/Agentforce for Service Cloud, or Omni-Channel a plus 

  2. Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS is a plus 

  3. Salesforce Administrator (preferred) 

  4. Salesforce Platform Developer II (preferred)
